Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Chloe completed medical school and two years of postgraduate training there before making the move to Port Macquarie in 2006, seeking an escape from city traffic and rainy weather. Initially joining Port Macquarie Base Hospital in a Paediatric and Obstetrics/Gynaecology Senior Medical Officer role, Chloe also spent a year working in Emergency Departments across Queensland. However, the charm of Port Macquarie’s beautiful weather and regional lifestyle drew her back to settle permanently.
From 2007 to 2011, Chloe worked in emergency medicine before becoming a Fellow of General Practice in 2013. The decision to specialize in general practice stemmed from a love for caring for patients across all ages and stages of life. Chloe values the continuity of seeing patients and their families over time, offering support through both the joyous and challenging moments of their lives and health. Chloe believes that the true gem of general practice lies in making a positive impact on individuals and the broader community.
With special medical interests in antenatal and shared care, contraceptive advice, menopause, endometriosis, and the health of individuals at all life stages, Chloe takes a holistic approach to care, treating every patient with the same respect and attention as would be given to family.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors, painting, cooking, learning French, and reading.
