Dr. Jacinta Spry has been a dedicated General Practitioner in Port Macquarie for the past ten years, with a growing focus on women’s health. Her passion in this area is backed by additional training in sexual and reproductive health, along with her membership in the Australasian Menopause Society.
Dr. Spry takes great satisfaction in helping women find personalized solutions, whether it’s selecting the right contraception, managing menopause with hormone therapy, or fitting a vaginal pessary. She frequently inserts IUDs, which offer significant relief not only for women with endometriosis but also for those seeking long-term, low-maintenance contraception, reduced menstrual bleeding, and alleviation of pain.
She strives to create a respectful and safe environment where women can openly discuss private and emotional concerns. Dr. Spry finds immense reward in supporting women throughout their fertility journey, pregnancy, and the transition to motherhood. She is also deeply committed to assisting women facing the challenges of unplanned pregnancy and other traumatic experiences.
Living on the beautiful Birpai land by the ocean, Dr. Spry cherishes the natural surroundings of Port Macquarie. In her free time, she enjoys walking, swimming, and whale watching at Shelley Beach with her young children. Active in the local community, she serves as the Vice Chair of Liberty Services, an organization providing advice and crisis accommodation for women experiencing domestic or family violence. Always eager to learn and grow, Dr. Spry has been learning the cello for three years, although she modestly admits she’s not ready for public performances just yet!
